Holly Coles

 

Holly has been involved in performing arts, movement therapy and teaching since the age of 2. What started as a passion for dance turned into a lifelong pursuit of study, performance and teaching many styles of dance, pilates, yoga and corrective movement techniques. She has also studied massage, nutrition, kinesiology and other physical therapies and is certified to teach and practice a range of modalities. 

Holly has taught and performed around the globe with a home in London and New York where she return to teach regularly. She was a member of Tripsichore Yoga – a performance troupe dedicated to spreading the art & science of yoga – with who she was faculty for Yoga Conferences in US & Europe. From there she dove into the world of teaching Yoga Teachers and has developed and presented teacher trainings for the pat several years with the goal of raising the quality of teaching and professional standards of the industry.

She teaches a wide range of students with a particular focus on breathing and ‘fixing the things that don’t work properly’ for people! Her classes are a combination of a wealth of experience with the human body on every level and she brings a level of intelligence to teaching to ensure a safe and beneficial learning environment.

When was the last time you did something for the first time?

Another day another dance move.... that is, pretty much everyday.


What are your goals for 2016 and beyond?
To pull another 5 years of performing out of the hat and simultaneousy thank my body for having stood the test of time.

How would you describe your first yoga experience?

Introspective - I taught myself ashtanga from a book.

 

Who has influenced you most in your life?

I seem to be my own best and worst influencer... determination is a powerful force!

 

If you had one super power, what would it be?

To function flawlessly without sleep :)
